The red-lettered “Rose Cafe” sign — with a donut standing in for the “O” — has marked this corner of Camino De Los Mares as the neighborhood spot for donuts, breakfast, and lunch.
The idea
A bakery case, a deli counter, a beach town.
Rose Cafe & Donuts is a local favorite tucked into a Camino De Los Mares strip mall in San Clemente — a case glazed fresh every morning, hearty breakfast burritos, stacked deli sandwiches, and a small sun-warmed patio under yellow umbrellas, a few blocks up from the pier.
The menu runs the length of the morning on purpose — donuts and coffee for the early fishing crowd at 5, breakfast burritos and bagels through the mid-morning rush, then deli sandwiches, burgers and wraps carrying the counter through to close at 2.

Every case is hand-glazed and stocked before sunrise — Texas donuts, almond bear claws, buttermilk bars and more, made fresh each morning.
Open 5 to 2, Every Day
Doors open at 5 AM and close at 2 PM, seven days a week — early enough for the fishing crowd, easy enough for a lazy Sunday.

Yellow umbrellas, string lights, and a chill few blocks from the sand — the kind of corner regulars quietly claim as their own.
